Congenital Spinal Stenosis: Review, Pitfalls, and Pearls of Management
Congenital stenosis is a diagnostic entity that encompasses a plethora of patient types not adequately classified by currently published schema. This review article introduces a clinical classification based on subtypes of patients with congenital stenosis. Anatomic, clinical, and radiographic presentation as well as treatment options and results are discussed. Potential complications in treating congenital stenosis as well as pearls of management in avoiding those complications are presented.
